MEET DR. KASIE ARIAS

I am a board-certified clinical psychologist with over 15 years of experience helping people navigate life’s challenges. My journey began with a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Minnesota State University, where I gained early experience in research and clinical work with high-risk populations, ADHD evaluations, and geriatric care. I later earned my PhD in Clinical Psychology from Palo Alto University, where I trained in diverse settings including community mental health, the Veteran's Administration (VA), and a state prison. My clinical training continued with the U.S. Air Force, where I completed an internship at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and a postdoctoral residency at Whiteman Air Force Base. I have served almost 10 years as an active-duty clinical psychologist in the U.S. Air Force, where I have gained extensive experience supporting service members and their families. Over the years, I’ve developed specialized expertise in health psychology, perinatal and postpartum mental health, traumatic brain injury, trauma-focused therapies (including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing "EMDR", Cognitive Processing Therapy "CPT", and Prolonged Exposure "PE"), and chronic illness and pain. I also work extensively with betrayal trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, ADHD, sleep difficulties, personality disorders, addiction (including sex/porn addiction), anger management, and stress-related concerns. My experience includes working closely with service members, veterans, healthcare workers, and first responders. Moreover, I am also a Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist (CSAT) Candidate.

I work with individual adults as well as couples, drawing from the Gottman method and other evidence-based approaches. My style is integrative and holistic. I believe healing is most effective when we address the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual/meaningful dimensions of health, while honoring each person’s unique culture and identity.

Life is full of peaks and valleys. My role is to walk alongside you on your journey, offering support, perspective, and tools to help you move forward. Whether you are facing a specific struggle or simply seeking to strengthen your wellbeing, I would be honored to join you on your path.

What sets me apart as a psychologist is the combination of my wide range of experience, my compassionate yet direct style, and my ability to genuinely connect with those I serve. Research consistently shows that a strong connection with your provider is one of the most important factors in improving mental health. My goal is to build that connection with you—creating a safe, supportive space where you feel both understood and challenged in ways that help you grow. It would be my honor to walk alongside you and be part of your healthcare team.

my military Story

I served for a decade as an active-duty clinical psychologist in the United States Air Force, holding leadership roles including Flight Commander and Director of Psychological Health. My work focused on supporting service members, veterans, and first responders through trauma, operational stress, loss, and major life transitions. I worked extensively with the Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) and Bomber communities, addressing the unique psychological demands of sustained, high-stakes operational environments.

I conducted psychological evaluations for special operations assessment and selection, as well as developmental and other special duty positions—work requiring precision, trust, and deep understanding of human performance under pressure. I also held a Top Secret security clearance, reflecting the level of responsibility and trust inherent in my role. My clinical training spans military medicine, Veterans Affairs, neurocognitive rehabilitation, and high-acuity behavioral health settings.

My passion for this work is both professional and personal. Like many in this field, my dedication was shaped by my own experiences with hardship and trauma. I understand struggle not only clinically, but humanly — and I believe healing, resilience, and growth are possible for everyone.

At Artemis Wellness, my approach is grounded, collaborative, and real. You don’t have to navigate your challenges alone.

I am a preferred provider for the First Responders Foundation, supporting individuals who serve in high-stress, high-responsibility roles. My work is grounded in an understanding of the unique demands placed on first responders, including exposure to trauma, chronic stress, and the expectation to remain composed in difficult situations. I provide a confidential, supportive space to process experiences, build resilience, and maintain long-term mental and emotional well-being.
